Abstract (EN)
The study delves into the crucial role of scenography in shaping the cultural narratives and visitor experiences within significant heritage sites. Through a meticulous examination of case studies, including Tawfiq Al Suwaidi's house, Abdul Razzaq Al-Qadi's house, and Saadoun Abdel Majeed Al Shawi's house, the research identifies key findings that contribute to our understanding of how scenography can enhance the aesthetic qualities of these sites. The study emphasizes that scenography is not merely decorative but serves as a dynamic and essential tool for conveying historical narratives, fostering cultural understanding, and creating immersive environments. The implications derived from the research underscore the importance of a culturally sensitive and authentic approach in scenographic designs, with an emphasis on interactive elements, multisensory experiences, and a careful balance between tradition and modernization. Addressing challenges and opportunities associated with scenography, the research points towards innovative technologies, community involvement, and sustainable design practices. Positive visitor perceptions highlight scenography's potential to deeply engage diverse audiences, fostering a sense of connection to the historical and cultural significance of the sites. Looking ahead, suggestions for future research encourage exploration into emerging technologies, community collaboration, and the long-term impact of scenography. The study contributes to the broader discourse on heritage preservation and design, emphasizing scenography's pivotal role in cultural enrichment, visitor engagement, and the sustainable safeguarding of Iraq's cultural heritage.
