The reasons for the migration to Turkiye from Afghanistan

In this study, the reasons for Afghan migration to Turkey were investigated.Afghans have been migrating to Pakistan, Iran and Turkey for many years for various reasons such as economic, security, terrorism and internal problems. Afghans who leave their home country in search of a better life may not only establish a safer life in the countries they go to, but may also encounter new problems.This situation causes the emergence of new problems in demographic, sociocultural, legal, economic and security areas in the countries of immigration. Therefore, migrations are becoming an interdisciplinary field of study. This study consists of three parts.In the first part, the concept of migration and types of migration are examined. In the second part of the research, the reasons why Afghans left their country were examined. In the last part of the research, from different age groups in Turkey, Afghan immigrants from different income levels and professions were interviewed and their reasons for migration were evaluated in detail. In-depth interview technique and content analysis method, which are among the qualitative research methods, were used in the research.
