A sociological study of violence against women in Afghanistan

Afghanistan is formed from different ethnic groups and historically this country has gone through different political, social and economic processes. Within this process of change, the situation of women and the level, type and proportion of violence against them have also changed. The main purpose of this study is to sociologically analysis the violence against women in Afghanistan. This review has been carried out around the following questions: How has the social status of women changed in Afghanistan in the historical process? What is the direction and dimension of violence against women according to these changes in Afghanistan's different political periods? What kind of violence and domestic violence the Afghanistan's women are recently exposed? What are the reasons of violence against Afganistan's women? What is the situation of fighting and struggle against violence in Afghanistan? These questions are examin within the framework of feminist theory and analysis based on patriarchy concepts. This analysis is based on primary and secondary books, articles, magazines, official reports, internet news sources, and events that the researcher has witnessed.
