Abstract (EN)
This study involves the electrical analysis of an off-grid photovoltaic power plant in Afghanistan, which has 198 kW inverters, a battery system, a 20 kV power distribution grid, and a backup generator. As a part of the study, all design stages of this power plant, named Yaka Tut, were manually presented. Subsequently, the electrical analysis of the power plant and energy distribution system were carried out using Sunny Design and DIgSILENT PowerFactory softwares. These analyses include estimated load profiles and different scenarios based on these load profiles. Short-circuit analysis, load flow analysis, and quasi-dynamic simulation of the entire system were performed in the analyses. The obtained results provide positive data on the healthy operation of the entire power system. Additionally, recommendations were made regarding Afghanistan's renewable energy infrastructure and the development of the examined power system.
