Abstract (EN)

This study, objected to identify the problems and solutions in primary and secondary schools according to the opinions of school principals and teachers in Kabul, Afghanistan. This research contains six chapter, the first chapter includes introduction, problem situation, problem statement, sub problems, assumptions of the research (hypotheses), limitations of research, definitions; second chapter, organization, administration, administrator, educational administration, Afghanistan education system; third chapter, related research; fourth chapter, research model, population and sample, data collection, data analysis; fifth chapter, the findings, and the sixth chapter, conclusions, discussions and recommendations. Qualitative research method, holistic multiple case study used in this research. Two school managers from public schools, 4 teachers from the same school and two managers from private schools, 2 teachers from the same school in Kabul city, were selected based on convenience sampling. In this research, semi-structured interview used as data collection tools. Content analysis was used to analyse the data. Analysis of research data; as the result, the participants highlighted that there is lack of textbooks in schools. The participants point out that there are problems in the distribution of course materials. Participants remark that there is a limited number of visual and audio materials. Participants stated that the number of students in the classrooms are too much. The participants point out that the additional classes are not in compliance with the standards. Participants stated there is no canteen in schools. Participants point out that there are no places in schools for performing cultural and sporting activities. Participants stated that there are no necessary fields for the sports course. Participants remark that libraries are not sufficient. Participants pointed out that most of the private schools are services in rental buildings (buildings not designed as schools). Participants in the research recommended the solution of problems.
