Causes and consequences of premature marriages in Afghanistan

An early marriage is a type of relationship between a man and a woman in which one or both parties are not satisfied with this relationship and is often referred to as a marriage of convenience. Usually, people like parents in this type of marriage resort to pressure and violence to satisfy the girl and the man. Sometimes, some parents cause these marriages by not paying attention to the basic rights of their children. Early marriage is a problem that exists in many countries of the world and in our country. Some people consent to marry another person without their consent, at the request of people such as their parents. Fear of domestic violence forces many girls and boys to marry early, and if the family opposes this request, the person will suffer the most severe physical and mental harm. Unfortunately, the number of underage marriages in Afghanistan, most of which took place without the understanding of involuntary marriage and in the absence of physical and mental maturity, is quite high, and this situation has brought many social, humanitarian, and moral problems. As a result of these statistical analyzes of the survey, there is still a culture of premature marriage in the Afghan society, and the variables (barriers) that prevent this problem from occurring in other countries will be determined. The main purpose of this study: (1) To determine the causes and causes of premature marriage in Afghan society. (2) To identify solutions to this problem. (3) Recognize the most effective way to break the tradition of premature marriage in Afghan society. (4) To recognize the cause of premature marriage in different parts of the world. According to the research findings by the survey: Various factors cause early and child marriages in Afghanistan. Major causes include poverty, parents' decision, poor economic situation, lack of education, Culture and family lifestyle.
