Özet (EN)

The Necessity of drinking and using water are being met with surface and ground water sources in Turkey. Heavy metal levels are increased by the rapid development of industry world wide. As a result of these heavy metals, interfere with water supplies, heavy metal pollution has been occured. It is intended in this research that the investigation of the collected tap waters located in Afyonkarahisar and its districts via ICP-MS whether the amount of heavy metal levels that could pose a risk to organisms. Tap water samples collected from different 48 districts of Afyonkarahisar. Before tap waters filled in falcon tubes, faucets opened for 2-3 minutes to drain the stagnant water intentionally. Then, water samples filled in 15 ml falcon tubes and refrigerated in 40C' up the time to perform heavy metal analysis. For performing heavy metal analysis, Agilent 7700 series ICP-MS instrument was used and obtained results compared with common researches evaluated each other. In our research it was seen Ag, B, Ba, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb levels are under the detection limits (0,001 μg/L) and different values was occured for Cr, Mn, Zn, As, Se, Mo, Hg levels in different districts. It was determined that the analyzed levels of arsenic are exceed the limit value which was determined in TS 266 (2005) that used for determination of water quality in our country (standards of water intended for human consumption) and in WHO (2011), Esentepe (11,385 μg/L) and Taşpınar (10,552 μg/L) districts and for other heavy metal levels, it was determined that those are in limited levels that was the same as in regulations. In conclusion, evaluated the obtained results of collected water samples from districts that located in Afyonkarahisar, it was not determined at a level to pose a risk for drinking and using water. For minimum difference between heavy metal levels in the districts located in Afyonkarahisar, using dam water and also the timely repair and regeneration processes in plants is seemed that it is important for the prevention of heavy metal pollution.
