Research on dalgıç-type sheep skin optained from region of Afyon

In this work, twenty Dağlıç - type sheep skins, which are between 1 - 2 years old and have been obtained from Şuhut region of Afyon, ten of the winter and ten of the summer period, have been handled and processed by virtue of a standard formula. Later, their physical and chemical properties have been identified. în this research, physical tests, including thickness, tensile strength, elongation %, tear strength, stich - tear strength, shrinking temperature and chemical tests such as chrome - oxide, fatty substance, total ash, pH, moisture and the material itself have been applied. The results acquired have been compared with the result of T.S.E. and Unido. Besides, further suggestions have been made for a better process. Vll
