Abstract (EN)
The antimicrobial activity of Limonium species (L. globuliferum, L. effusum, L. lilacinum, L. iconicum, L. gmelinii) collected from Acı Göl and Heybeli Kaplıca environs in June 2008 were evaluated against to 12 fungi isolated from hazelnut and walnut and 9 bacteria.Petroleum ether, dihromethanol, methanol and distilated water were used as solvent.It was seen that Limonium species extracts inhibited mycotoxigenic fungi. It was determined that the most inhibition effect is on Chatomium globosum in leaf extractions, and the most inhibition effect is on Aspergillus niger in root exractions.Micrococcus luteus is the most sensitive microorganism against to leaf and root exracts of Limonium species.Key words: Afyonkarahisar, Limonium, antimicrobial activity, antifungal activity, extraction
