Abstract (EN)
Due to rapid population growth and technological developments, there has been a significant increase in magnitude and type of solid wastes generated in cities in recent years. Recyclable wastes constitute an important part of solid wastes. The management of packaging materials recovery and recycling of packaging waste aims to minimize the impact of packaging waste on the environment by reducing the amount going to landfill. The reuse and recycle of packing materials save natural and energy resources and also reduce waste quantity. The aim of this thesis to evaluate separate collection of packing waste materials and recovery and reuse alternatives according to Packing Waste Control Regulations and the study conducted by local authority in Afyonkarahisar in aspect of environmental and economical view. After all these studies, the management of the waste that can be recycled is handled, the input-output of the production is evaluated andby taking Afyonkarahisar potential into consideration the present system is evaluated, and suggestions are proposed.
