Abstract (EN)

In this study the residue levels of 18 organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) were determinedin water samples that were obtained from Eber lake, Karamık lake and drinking waterof Afyonkarahisar province. For this study, a total of 132 water samples at 22 samplingsites were collected during six periods between June 2006 and April 2007. All thewater samples were collected in high purity glass bottles and stored at +4oC untilanalysis. A liquid-liquid extraction followed by GC-ECD was used to determineorganochlorine pesticides in water samples. As a result, 18 selected orghanochlorine pesticides were detected in all collected watersamples. The residue levels of aldrin, heptachlorepoxide, endrin aldehit, endosulfansulfat were found to be higher than the EC water quality standards in water of Eberlake. The residue levels of selected orghanochlorine pesticides weren?t exceed ECwater quality standards in water samples of Karamık lake. Except heptachlorepoxideand α-endosülfan residue levels of other selected organochlorine pesticides werededected higher than the EC water quality standards in dirinking water samples. Keywords: Organochlorine Pesticides Eber Lake, Karamık Lake, and Drinking watersof Afyonkarahisar province
