Abstract (EN)

Providing that the durability of surface of wood for a long time against the outside disturbance is bound to the resistance shown by varnish layers on meeting possible external effects. Besides, varnish layers were compared among themselves by the help of the research carried out on the sample pieces of beech and oak woods and also on the pieces of beech and oak veneered faces covered by cellulosic, synthetic, polyurethan and polyester varnishes to specify the hardness, the brightness, the sticking resistance to the surface and the durability against the dry-heat, the wet-heat, the lighting cigarette touch, the acetone, the detergent, the acetic acid (the vinegar acid), the sodium hydroxide.
