Transcription and assessment of the work "Câmi'u'l-Vâkiât-i Sultâni̇" by Agehî

Turkistan is a perfect place for the science of history as well as being an attraction site. Having possessed hundreds of states, seigniories, khanates, Turkistan has always been a field of research and been one of the foremost research topics for Turkish historians. One of the seigniories mentioned is Khwarezm Harezm Khanate. We are able to learn a lot about the XIX. century history of Khwarezm Harezm Khanate through "Firdevs al-İkbal ve Câmi'Ü'l-Vâkıât-ı Sultânî", the work of Muhammed Riza Mirab Âgehî. Khwarezm Harezm Khanate has taken its place in the history as a khanate having been located in Harezm region and maintained its existence for hundreds of years. This khanate kept fighting with other khanates and dealt with domestic issues and was governed by various governor groups and individuals like families and dynasties. The very last of these is Inak (Kongrat) Dynasty. Khwarezm Harezm Khanate got dramatically weaker under the reign of this dynasty and couldn't escape from being captured by Tsardom of Russia in the end. Câmi'Ü'l-Vâkıât-ı Sultânî which tells us about the Khwarezm Harezm Khanate during the middle XIX. century was written by the official chronicler Âgehî. Âgehî worked as an official dealing with water supply under Khwarezm Harezm Khanate. However, whether he was able to convey the events and incidents he witnessed objectively has been a controversial topic. Nevertheless, the fact that there are very few firsthand sourcesand the fact thatKhwarezm has not been researched much makes Âgehî one of the most significant source of knowledge.
