Verbs in Riyāzü'd-Devle is the written by Agehī pages 525a-622b (Introduction-analysis-text-dictionary)

The writing of history has attracted historians as well as those who study lan-guages as historical texts are of great importance in terms of language material and vo-cabulary. Therefore, the present paper has focused on Riyāzü'd Devle, the work of Āgehi who was one of the Chagatai Turkish authors. This history book was written in the first half of the 19th century and it gives voice to the history of Hîve Khanate before the invasion of Russia. The numbered, T8/02 and registered copy attained from the li-brary of İstanbul University has been used in this present graduate thesis. The scope of the study has been limited to the verb elements found on the pages from 525a to 622b. The present study has four sections which are as follows: Introduction, analysis, text and dictionary. Thanks to the present thesis, the social economic and political situation of Hîve Khanate in the 19th century can be learned as well as the verbs and language material in late Chagatai Turkish language. One of the most important historians Āgehî, the first palace historian of the Hîve Khanate is the nephew of Mûnis Harezmî. Āgehî, who completed the famous historical work Firdevsü'l Iqbal, which was left uncompleted for the death of Mūnis Harezmî, he wrote the book Riyāzü'd Devle on the same style and recorded Hîve's history. The book depicts the historical events, social and economic life of the period from one side in a vivid way.
