The measurement of electromagnetic field in high schools in ağri city centre

The electromagnetic field is known to have serious adverse effects on living organisms. In this study, it is aimed to determine the EMA exposure levels formed by smart boards use in high schools in Ağrı city centre. In this study, a hand- made….device which take measurements instantly and continuously in a wide frequency range,has been used. Electromagnetic field strength values varying according to distance of intelligent board with RF source have been determined. For this, electro-magnetic field intensity values has been identified at distance of 1cm, 10 cm, 30 cm, 60 cm and 100 cm. At least 1.5 m high measurements has been performed at the centre of the classroom to get more accurate result. As a result of the measurements distance related measurement values are higher than the limiting values that ICNIRP indicated. Also, as of the result of the measurements, in is identified that they are suitable for values indicated by regulation, However, it has been concluded that the more distance decreases result of the distance related measurements, increases.
