Abstract (EN)

Determination of nutrient element contents and enzyme activities of medical plants is one of the research areas which have been emphasized in recent years. Ferula rigidula, Eremurus spectabilis, Rheum ribes and Prangos ferulaceae plants used in this research are naturally grown species in various localities of Ağrı. These plants are generally used in our country as medicinal purposes and foodstuffs. Ferula rigidula, Eremurus spectabilis, Rheum ribes and Prangos ferulaceae taxa were be obtained from their natural habitats in Agri and physiological changes such as heavy metal segregation, metabolic enzymes glutathione reductase (GR), carbonic anhidrase (CA) and catalase (CAT) activities in plant tissues were be determined. Carbonic anhydrase is a very important enzyme which reversibly catalyzes the interconversion of CO2 and HCO3 in almost all living organisms. Glutathione reductase is an important antioxidant enzyme, responsible for the convertion of oxidized glutathione (GSSG) to reducted glutathione (GSH) using NADPH as a reductant, resultant GSH provides reduction of peroxides. Plants used in the study were the highest on average boron F.rigidula (1,46 mgkg-1), the most sodium R. ribes (9750 mgkg-1), the most magnesium R. ribes (159,97 mgkg-1) The highest amount of calcium E.spectabilis (524,53 mgkg-1), the highest amount of manganese E.spectabilis (1,87 mgkg-1), the highest amount of iron R.ribes (13,13 mgkg-1) copper F. rigidula (0,65 mgkg-1), and the highest zinc F. rigidula (3,09 mgkg-1) were detected in the plants. It seemed that plants do not affect some enzymes and show inhibitory effect on some enzymes.
