Abstract (EN)
In recent years, heavy rain that is on the rise from global warming and climate change imperils our cities. This situation is more common in the cities where the connection between earth and air is interrupted by unsystematic concretion, therefore, preventing rainwater from being absorbed by the earth. Pervious concretes are used in order to implement the connection between earth and air, reduce rainfall discharge with city infrastructure, and prevent damages that resulted from rising floods and heavy rain. In this study, pervious concretes were produced using different types of aggregates such as basalt, limestone, travertine, pumice, and plastic. The effect of aggregate gradation, usage of steel and plastic fibers on the properties of pervious concrete was also investigated. Slump and unit weight experiments were conducted in order to determine the properties of pervious concrete in its fresh condition. Unit weight, porosity, compressive strength, flexure strength, splitting tensile strength, corrosion resistance and permeability experiments were conducted in order to determine the properties of hardened pervious concrete. The results of this study indicates that there was not a significant effect of aggregate type, however, aggregate gradation and fiber usage and fiber type had a significant effect on the properties of pervious concretes.
