Abstract (EN)

In this study, Agustin Barios', one of the most significant classical guitar composers and also a virtuoso, both music and interpretivism are analyzed. In the first part of study, Barios' life is briefly told. The second part is about artist's music. To better analyze this subject, the music in the world and in his region in that period has been mentioned. After that La Catedral, Una Limosna por el Amor de Dios and Vals Op. 8 No. 3 works are analyzed as examples of his music. As for in the last part, Barrios' interpretivism is dwelt upon. While doing this interpretivism of that time period, interpretation of his music after him, his repertoire and his recordings are considered and especially focused on his own recordings. To understand his interpretation better and to be example, some of his interpretations of his own compositions and other compositors' works are analyzed. These works are Johann Sebastian Bach and Fernando Sor's compositions, Francisco Tarrega's Capricho Arabe and Barrios' Maxixe, Un Sueño en la Floresta, Vals Op. 8 No. 3, Andante Religioso and Allegro Solemne movements of La Catedral.
