Formal and technical examination of Ahmed Adnan Saygun's compositions for violoncello

In this research, the violoncello works of Ahmed Adnan Saygun have been studied formally and technically. In the first part, Saygun's life and musical approach was included. In the second part, violoncello works are examined formally and this information is reinforced by various visuals. In addition, technical and interpretive studies have been carried out and various working methods have been proposed for the player. The contribution of Ahmed Adnan Saygun, one of the most important Turkish composers of the 20th century, to the violoncello repertory was better understood and the main aim of this research was the importance of technical and musical achievements in these works. Through this research, a resource has been created that can help cello artists and students to work on the mentioned works.
