Ahmed B. 'İmad el-Hanefi el-'Ayintabi'nin eş-Şükriyye analysis of the forensic work

This study is a critical edition (taḥqīq) of al-Šukriyya by Aḥmad b. ʿImād al-Ḥanafī al-ʿAynṭābī. al-Šukriyya is a commentary of Al-Maqṣūd, which is written by Nuʿmān b. Ṯābit Abū Ḥanīfa (d. 80/150) in the field of ʿIlm al-Ṣarf (Morphology). This thesis consists of two main sections apart from the introduction and conclusion sections. In the introduction part, the subject, purpose and method of the thesis are discussed. In the first part, a brief information about the investigation and the works that have focused on Al-Maqṣūd are given. Following them, explanations regarding the condition, features and copies of the work, and the method used in the investigation are given. Furthermore, the relativeness of the investigated work to its author, the method used by the author, the content of it and explanations about it are given. In the second part, comparative analysis is made regarding different copies of the manuscript. The investigation is based on the original manuscript, however, while comparing the original manuscript to its copies, the differences are explained with footnotes and deficiencies and excesses are specified.
