The name of thesis is verbs in Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar's novel which name is "Mahur Beste"

VI ABSTRACT The novel has been transferred to the computer and then highlighting all the verbs in every page, an index of verbs has been prepared. In the second stage, verb bases of each verb in the index have been determined, and they have been made ready to be analysed in terms of structure and verb formation. After this preparation, 1 652 verbs have been listed. The final phase of our study consists of analysing the characteristics of each verb in the list The main topic of our study is the structure. Therefore, verb formation doesn't exist as a separate section, but as a subgroup of the main topic. The topic "structure" is grouped under three titles; base (simple), derived form and compound form. While giving explanations, not only the base of each verb, but each prefix, suffix and their properties have been given as footnotes as well. The conclusion part reveals the changes we've encountered, and forms a background that can be beneficial for further studies.
