Abstract (EN)
Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar is a writer who describes Istanbul from different aspects in Turkish Literature. The cities and places that were important in Tanpınar's life were reflected in his novels. In this study, there are five of his novels and a letter written from the perspective of the novel's characters. It talks about how places are perceived by the characters of the novel and the impact they have on them. In this context, places that sometimes get ahead of the events and attract all the attention offer a wide area for examination with the perspective put forward by Tanpınar.
