Heart in Ahmet İnam philosophy

Ahmet Inam, one of the prominent representatives of Contemporary Turkish Phi-losophy, embarked on a philosophical construction that he called the Heart Philosophy in the early 1990s, focusing on the Anatolian culture and the life of the Anatolian peo-ple. Heart Philosophy is a philosophy that emerged as a result of Inam's departure from the local while seeking answers to universal problems. The concept of "heart", on which the Heart Philosophy is based, is a pure Turkish word that has no equivalent in other languages. Inam deepened the concept of heart in his philosophical construction and studied this concept together with body, emotion, mind and environment. Describing himself as a traveler who seeks and tries, Inam discovered the contribution of the con-cept of "life" to the heart in recent years and enriched his Heart Philosophy with the concept of life. Life is the first state of heart. According to Inam, an individual cannot have a heart without having a life. Our study consists of four main chapters, except the Introduction and Conclu-sion. In the introduction part, the purpose, scope and importance of the research are de-scribed. In the first chapter, Ahmet Inam's life and his world of thought are explained. Second chapter is the part where Heart Philosophy, the concepts of heart and life and the relationship between Heart Philosophy and Anatolia are explained. In the third chap-ter, the concepts and thinkers that influenced Inam are included. In the fourth chapter, the difference between the nous-based thinking style that is the basis of the Anatolian-mustafa Turkish wisdom in the 13rd century, and the logic-based thinking style based on rational ability are evaluated in the personalities of Yunus Emre and Nasreddin Hodja, who fermented Anatolia. In this chapter, whether the Heart Philosophy is the continuation of Anatolian-Turkish wisdom or not is discussed, too.
