Spain copy of Sefinetu'r-Ruesā written by Ahmet Resmî Efendi (analysis-text-translation)

In our thesis, information about the life, works, and literary personality of Ahmet Resmî Efendi, one of the XVIII. century Dîvân hümâyûn figures, was given, and the translation, introduction, and analysis of his work Sefînetü'r-Rüesâ was made. This study focuses on the work Sefînetü'r-Rüesâ and its author Ahmet Resmî Efendi. The study consists of three chapters: "Sefînetü'r-Rüesâ and Text". In the introduction section of the work, information is given about the official institution of reisülküttap (head of the divan scribes), especially the place of reisülküttaps in the state organization in the eighteenth century, their qualifications and the sources of income of the reisülküttaps. The first chapter is dedicated to the author of the work. The author's name, pseudonym, date of birth, place of birth, family, life, tutors, affiliation and professions, death, personality traits, works, and other information about his literary personality are mentioned. The second chapter is dedicated to the analysis and evaluation of Sefinetü'r-Rüesâ. The work's description, content, importance, language and style, identified copies, resources, reisülküttaps who were poets, information reflecting the education, style of upbringing, and marital status of the reisülküttaps, and information about the reisülküttaps who went on pilgrimage are discussed. In addition, this chapter also provides information in the form of a table on the lives and duties of the reisülküttâbs mentioned in the work, the names of the positions they held, and the date of their arrival, dismissal, or resignation from these positions. The author recorded the names of the references he used when talking about some of the reisülküttap who lived before his time and whose lives he did not have information about. The third chapter presents the transcribed text. Finally, a glossary of the study was made for the reader's better understanding. The resources we utilized are cited in the references section.
