This study, titled History and Myth in Ahmet Ümit's Novels, aims to examine Ahmet Ümit's works in the context of history and myth. The two elements are explained in depth by explaining the history and myth in the introduction part of the thesis. The relationship between mtyhology and history with literature is tried to be explained. This study consists of three parts. In the first chapter, historical novels an mythological novels are tried to be given in Turkish litarature, information about the formation of mythology in Turkish literatüre is given and the relationship between history- myth and litaratue is tried to be explaind. In the second part of the study, Ahmet Ümit's life, temperament, works and art life ara emphasized. The last part of the study, that is the third part, is our voluminous section. In this section, historical and mtyhical elements are tried to be determined in Ahmet Ümit's works. While determining these elements, time, place, person and event elements of the works are examined in depth. In addition, all the novels that have been examined in this section are introduced. In the "Conslusion" section, we present our findings. Key words: Ahmet Ümit, novel, myth, history
