Adjective noun suffixes in the İdikut novel of Ahmetcan Aşiri'nin

The suffixes of Turkish Language as an additive language is usually classified in two methods. In most of the studies related to this subject, the suffixes are classified under specific titles with regard to their functions often used until the present day. Some example of these suffixes are creating a noun from a noun suffixes, adjective verb suffixes, adverb verb suffixes, case suffixes, simple present tense suffixes. In a part of this thesis study, investigations mostly based on the text were conducted. Furthermore, the annotations or suffix naming were made according to the functions of the annexes by taking into account the functions they assumed in the texts. Although the first of these two methods has revealed some controversial discussions, it is important because it is a preliminary resource for the new studies that are being carried out on the additive/suffixing system. The most important problem that the first of these two methods creates is that the suffixes are labeled with certain names and cause a perception as if they do not perform another function or cannot. However, in many studies, it is obvious that some of the suffixes of our language have different functions depending on the texts. In this study, a suffix type and function which will represent this situation with an example has been examined. In our master thesis entitled "Adjective Noun Suffixes in the Idikut Novel of Ahmetcan Aşiri", we tried to determine the samples used with the adjective noun suffix function of the suffixes shown under the title of "construction suffixes creating a noun from a noun" in the previous studies. We tried to discuss and explain the functions of adjective noun suffixes by comparing them with the noun from a noun suffixes determined in the Idikut novel of Ahmetcan Aşiri consisting of 504 pages.
