Problems in family communication and its solutions: The sample of Istanbul

As a social being, the most basic and special unit of living with others is family. Family, which is one of the most important institutions of the social order, is formed when a man and a woman come together with a marriage contract. In order for unity and solidarity to occur in the family, agreement and harmony between spouses on economic, administrative and psycho-social issues should be ensured. Factors such as the changes in the roles of men and women with marriage and their inability to adapt to these changing roles, their inability to create an order psychologically, biologically, socially and economically, and the fact that the spouses do not provide the same communication style and a common understanding towards each other cause problems such as conflicts, discussions and incompatibility.The Family Evaluation Form used in the study to be carried out within the framework of this subject was applied on 6 couples (12 people). It is planned to be applied once a month, in two weeks. The research universe is Istanbul. As a result of the literature review carried out within the scope of the subject of this research, family and marriage, marriage satisfaction and harmony, communication in the family, attachment theory in marriage, conflict and marital conflict, causes, symptoms and coping of stress, causes and types of depression, anger, types of interpersonal violence, problem solving concept and skill, causes of infidelity and In the second part, the applied study of the research is included. The research questions created for the purpose of the data to be reached within the framework of the subject of the study, the research and interview form created in the light of these questions, the method and technique used to the universe and sample group of the research, and the findings and analysis obtained as a result of the research were found under these headings. In the evaluation and conclusion section, which is the last part, analyzes were made on the extent to which these data obtained are effective in clarifying research questions.
