Analysis on the reasons of employees working in provincial directorates of The Ministry of Family and Social Policies to direct their children towards sports: An example of eastern anatolian region

It is vital for our children's physical , mental and social development to direct them to sport pursuant to their talents as from early ages . Searching the employees' reasons ,who work in Provincial Directorates of The Ministry of Family and Social Policies in cities of Eastern Anatolia Region (Elazığ, Malatya, Tunceli, Diyarbakır, Bingöl, Muş, Erzincan, Erzurum, Ardahan, Bitlis, Ağrı,Van, Kars) to direct their their children to sport with regard to some variables is the basic aim of our study. Institution employees' sharing the same social structure with individuals whom they provide service will have an intermediary role to transfer their positive perception for the sport to other people within this society segment. Provincial Directorates of The Ministry of Family and Social Policies in Eastern Anatolia Region (Elazığ, Malatya, Tunceli, Diyarbakır, Bingöl, Muş, Erzincan, Erzurum, Ardahan, Bitlis ,Ağrı,Van, Kars) constitute the universe of study ,institution personnel having children whom will be determined via purposeful sampling method constitutes the sample. Our study has the characteristics of ''descriptive survey model'' .To gain data a questionnaire form with two parts whose validity and dependability were determined previously was used..When analysing data for the comparison of percentage ,frequency analysis and ensemble average ,for dual ensemble average t-test was made ,and for more than two ensemble average anova test was made. At the end of study ,it was concluded that the reasons of personnel who work in the Provincial Directorates of The Ministry of Family and Social Policies to direct their children to sport don't differ according to demographic features (age, gender,educational background ,marital status,job , number of children ,income status ) and they had a positive perspective to direct them to sport .Also ,ıt is seen that parents who do exercise regularly present a more positive opinion to direct their children to sport.
