Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine parental views about the level of child rights in the family. In the research process, one of the quantitative research methods was used. The sample group of the study consisted of the parents of primary and secondary school students studying in Kastamonu province and Taşköprü districts. Within the scope of the study, a total of 1914 parents were reached, 1088 in the pilot implementation and 826 in the main practice. The belirle Parent Child Rights Behavior Scale bilgi, which consists of four dimensions, is used in order to determine the level of child rights of the parents in the family. The effect of 17 variables was investigated according to these four dimensions. SPSS 22.0 statistical program was used to analyze the data. Since the data were not distributed normally, nonparametric methods were used and Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney U tests were applied. According to the findings of the study, the level of parents' application of children's rights in the family; It is observed that the level of life, participation and protection is at a very high level and development level is at the middle level. When the total score is examined, it is seen that parents apply high level of child rights in the family. This result shows that parents apply child rights sufficiently in the family except e eve right to development. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the parents' level of application of children's rights in the family affected several variables.
