Abstract (EN)
In this study, families of mental disability children and special educators were conducted to evaluate the mutual perceptional of viewpoint to mental disability. From this point forth, ten special educators had profoundly interviews, focus group interviews with ten parents were met at Şehit Ali Borinli Elementary School and Business School.As a result of collected data, families of mental disability children and special educators were determined differences at viewpoint to mental disability. In this respect, disability which was determined families were seen bigger problem and can not achieve an event than special educators. It was determined that families approach emotional aspect but special educators approach logical aspect to mental disability. Changing and development issue at mental disability has drawn a table more pessimistic and hopeless in families compared to special educators. Mental disability appears an event that affects economic, sociological and psychological aspects families. It have been understood that mental disability individuals continuously kept under control by their families rather than special educators. Disability awareness can not fully install in the community. The importance of educational institution and special education for mental disability individuals was clarified.
