The effectiveness of activity schedules presented via tablet while families are doing leisure time activities to the children with autism spectrum disorder

This research has two purposes. First one of these is to prepare an activity schedule which is presented via a tablet for the parents who have children with autism spectrum disorder and is to determine whether it is effective of parents education package in acquiring the presentation skills of teaching prepared schedule. Another purpose of this research is to detect the effectiveness of the activity schedules which are presented via tablet in acquiring the following skills consisted of leisure time activities of the parents who have children with autism spectrum disorder. The participants of the research are the three children with autism spectrum disorder that are in the 4-8 years age range and their parents. The research has been conducted at the participants' own houses. The multiple probe design across dyads model of single-subject research methods has been used in this research. At the end of the research, it has been made out that the prepared parents education package has been effective in acquiring to present the teaching skills and preparation of the activity schedule which is presented via tablet. The teaching process that is presented by the parents of children with autism spectrum disorder has been effective for the children autism spectrum disorder in acquiring following skills of the activity consisted of leisure time activities. It has been reached the finding that children with autism spectrum disorder and their parents has continued to use the skills, - which they had- one, two and three weeks even after teaching ended up and they can generalize the skills that they had in different situations. It has been found that the point of view of the parents about social validity of the research is positive.
