Abstract (EN)
Introduction: Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF); It is an autosomal recessive autoinflammatory disease caused by recurrent fever and inflammation of serous membranes. Methods: Demographic data, clinical findings, comorbidities and laboratory findings of 730 patients diagnosed with FMF were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Of the patients, 310 ('42.5%) were male and 420 (57.5%) were female (n=420). The mean age of the patients was 38.4±12.6 years. Amyloidosis was present in 44 patients (6%). SAA, fibrinogen, ESR and creatinine levels were found to be significantly higher in the patient group with amyloidosis compared to the group without amyloidosis (p<0.001). The frequency of CAD was found to be higher in patients with amyloidosis (13.6%) than in patients without amyloidosis (3.1%) (p=0.004). It was observed that the frequency of CKD, renal transplantation, PTE, amyloidosis was significantly higher in patients with atherosclerosis. (respectively p=0.048, p=0.019, p=0.049, p=0.004). It was observed that the SAA level was significantly higher in the patient group with atherosclerosis compared to the group without atherosclerosis (p=0.008) There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in CRP, Fibrinogen, ESH levels in patients with atherosclerosis compared to patients without atherosclerosis. when the creatinine level is evaluated according to their distribution; In the group of patients with atherosclerosis, creatinine was found to be significantly higher than in the group without atherosclerosis. (p<0.001). Conclusions: It was determined that the SAA level in FMF patients was significantly higher than the patient group without atherosclerosis, and also the SAA, fibrinogen, CRP and ESH levels of the patients with amyloidosis were significantly higher than the patients without amyloidosis.
