Özet (EN)
In this study, 304 austenitic stainless steel plates widely used in industry were used. Single and multiple shot peening processes were applied to steel plate samples in different combinations by means of steel balls with 0,8 mm, 0,6 mm and 0,3 mm diameter. In order to examine the effect of shot peening process on the mechanical properties of the material, tensile and microhardness tests were performed on the samples after shot peening process. SEM and XRD examinations were carried out to observe the changes in grain morphology, deformation effects and phase formation of the materials. As a result, changes in microstructural, surface and mechanical properties on single and multiple shot-peened materials were analyzed.
