Abstract (EN)
In this study, PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating process which is widely used in industry explained. The wear behaviours of uncoated and TiN and CrN PVD coated AISI 3343 steel have been investigated. The test samples were machined identically with 34mm diameter and 5mm length and were coated with TiN and CrN using PVD method. Pin on disk method was used for wear, microhardness, mechanical properties, SEM and EDS photographes of the specimens were investigated. It was determined that CrN coated specimens wore less than others.
