Abstract (EN)

The aim of the thesis is to determine the types of organizational culture in state academic organizations in Kazakhstan and to reflect on the effects of organizational culture types on organizational performance. Organizational culture types are determined by cluster analysis based on the organizational size and performance. The results of this study are expected to bring different perspectives on the performance indecators of academic organizations. In this context, the concept of organizational culture and its effects on organizational performance have been explained in the light of literature. Then, a cluster analysis was conducted in terms of institutional size and performance of state academic organizations in Kazakhstan. Finally, using the Organizational Culture Assessment Tool (OCAI), an analysis was conducted to reveal the types of organizational culture of the academic organizations in Kazakhstan. to determine the dominant organizational culture type, and then findings and reflections were given. At the end of the study, as a result of the clustering analysis conducted in 29 state academic organizations in Kazakhstan, 4 clusters were formed. The dominant type culture in academic organizations in Clusters A and B was determined to be clan and market type culture, in cluster C and D it was determined that the culture was the dominant type culture hierarchy culture based on competitive values.
