Abstract (EN)
In this research, Folk Beliefs of Malatya Akçadağ district were discussed. The research area is limited to the town of Akçadağ and its villages. The study consists of an introduction and two main parts. In the introduction part, general information about the subject, purpose, importance, scope, limitations and method of the research and the historical and social structure of Akçadağ are given. In the first part, folk beliefs and practices related to the transition period; It is explained by grouping it about birth, marriage and death. In the second part, their beliefs about nature; In this study, beliefs and practices related to water, rain, tree, fire, animals and stone-rock, as well as the culture of visiting and visiting places in Akçadağ were revealed. In the study, literature review and field research technique, which are qualitative research methods, were used, and 79 people, 44 women and 35 men, were interviewed face-to-face in the field research. Descriptive and phenomenological methods were used to evaluate the obtained data in terms of History of Religions.
