Abstract (EN)
In this study, particulate matter measurements (PM2.5 and PM10) were made at 3-month periods in summer and winter seasons in playgrounds located in 5 different locations in Akçakoca district of Düzce province and the results were presented. In line with the results obtained, it has been determined that the particulate matter concentrations of the port area, the main road area with traffic density and the industrial zone are still high, although they are below the limit values of the regulation. Particularly low concentrations of particulate matter have been detected in playgrounds in areas close to green areas. In this study, Osmaniye park has the best results in this respect. When seasonally compared, it was concluded that winter particulate matter concentrations were higher than summer seasons. In order for children to be more sensitive to exposure to air pollutants and for them to play games in healthier environments, it is important to evaluate the duration of these studies, to evaluate more parks in terms of location, and to examine it in all its dimensions. The results obtained; it concludes that the positioning of playgrounds on highways and streets and on street edges will not be suitable due to traffic. In addition, it was seen that it would not be suitable to be located in areas close to the port. Therefore, it is thought that choosing the locations of children's playgrounds in areas as tree-lined as possible, especially in areas as far away from traffic as possible, will bring significant health benefits for children with lower bodies.
