Özet (EN)
In this study, the resistance reactions of tomatoes grown commonly in greenhouse cultivation in Mediterranean Region of Turkey were determined against Bacterial Canker and Wilting of Tomato Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis. In the research, 93 different domestic types of tomato seedlings provided by the commercial companies producing seedlings in Antalya provience were used as plant producing materials. The seedlings were cultivated for 8 weeks with 18 hours of light and 18 0C at night exposure at 25 0C in growth chamber. The plants have been inoculated with bacterial suspensions (1x108 cfu/ml) by infiltrating the bacteria into excised-petiole with 1 ml plastic syringe with a 27-gauge needle. The plants were kept at the temperature of 26 0C/18 0C day/night temperatures, respectively in growth chamber. The wilting which is a typical symptom of Bacterial Wilting and Cancer Disease was taken as a scale for indicating the intensity of disease. The symptoms of disease had been observed starting from the 17th day. In this study, the progress of disease in the different varieties is evaluated by the observation done based on 1-5 scale in the 28th day after inoculation. Based on the observation on the desiccation sites of the leaflets, the resistance reactions of the varieties were ranked in the 1st in the scale. In conclusion, it has been determined that all of the 93 different varieties were susceptible to Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis.
