Remains of the Kazary State founded in the Medieval from theMediterranean to the Caucasus: Karay Turks (History-religion-language-culture)

It cannot be said that Karay Turks are very lucky when compared to other Turkish dialects in terms of examining their language, religion/sect, history, socio-cultural structure or working on any subject. There are two important reasons for this issue: Karay Turkish people are a very closed Turkish tribe due to their religion/sect, and another is that they strongly oppose marriages from different religions/sects. Due to these two main reasons, the first scientific studies on Karay Turks could begin in the XVII. century. These first studies were not on their language, culture and history, they were rather on their religion, namely the Karai sect, conducted by historians of religions. Although there have been studies on the history, culture and especially the language of the Karaite Turks recently, it cannot be said that these studies are still at a sufficient level. In this context, the aim of this thesis is to share with the readers the history, religion, language, culture and geography of the Karaite Turks residing in Lithuania-Trakai, with photographs, and to compensate the deficiency in this area to some extent. In the preparation of the history and religion sections of the thesis, the views of local and foreign historians and historians of religions on the Karai sect and the Karaite Turks were compiled and given. In the history part, the issue of being the remnant of the Caspian State, which they insisted on, was handled. Since the Karaite Turks have the right to believe that their religion is unique and respected, the origin of the Karai sect and the issues that differentiate this sect from the Rabbanist (~Talmudist) sect are explained particularly. In the preparation of the cultural aspect of the thesis, text and word compilations were made from Szymon Juchniewicz, who is known as the wisest person/white bearded of the Karaite Turks living in Lithuania. In these compilations, it was seen that Karay Turks maintain their blood and cultural ties in every way, even if they have a sectarian difference with other Turkish people. In other words, they are conscious of being one of the Turkish tribes. In addition, Russian articles on the cultural issues of the Crimean Karaite Turks by Yu. A. Polkanov who is from the Crimean Karaite Turks were translated into Turkey Turkish and the necessary information for this section was tried to be provided. In the examination of the language part of the thesis, first of all, the language properties of Karaite Turkish were summarized in the light of the information given by native and foreign Turcologists working on this subject. Thereafter, the printed work called "Zaburs of Davud", which was discovered by us in the Lithuanian Vilnius University orthalist Library, was read and transcribed, and detailed information about the audio, form and vocabulary of the work was given.
