The aim of this study was to classify malignant breast cancers diagnosed at the departmant of medical pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Akdeniz University, by breaking down their histopathological an prognostic features. Breast cancers between the years 2000 and 2013 were screened retrospectively and 503 breast cancers were chosen for evaluation. The patients' clinical (age, menopausal status, clinic fallow up, radiological findings) and histopathological features (tumour type, size, stage, lymph node, status, Ki-67 labelling index, hormon receptors, cerbB2 status were screened and processed on Microsoft Office Excel 2007. In addition the tumours were evaluated according to their molecular features; Luminal A, Luminal B, cerb B2, Triple negative. The results were evaluated with the help of University's Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics and assessed using SPSS-18 software. In our deparment, 503 new patient were diagnosed with breast carcinoma over the last ten years. Most patients were found to be over the age of 50. Most tumours were over 2 cm in size and the most common histological type was invasive ductal carcinoma. Lymph node involvement was detected in 40% of cases. Staging was carried out in 203 cases and 30% of patients were found to have stage 2A tumours. Lymph node involvement and tumour size which are considered most important prognostic parameters, were found to have a statistically significant correlation with the degree of differantiation and stage.
