Abstract (EN)

Mind and intelligence games are games that allow students to acquire various skills at primary school level. These skills include attention and visual perception. The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of mind and intelligence games on the attention and visual perception levels of primary school students. The research was conducted with a study group consisting of a total of 40 students studying in the 2nd grade at Yeşilyurt Primary School in Sorgun district of Yozgat province in the 2022-2023 academic year. While 20 students were in the experimental group, the other 20 students formed the control group. Data were collected using the "D2 Attention Test" and the "Frostig Visual Perception Test". The dependent variables of the research are the attention and visual perception level scores of primary school students, and the independent variables are the mind and intelligence games used. Independent sample t test, related sample t test and one-way ANOVA test were used to carry out the analyzes and reveal the research findings. As a result of the research, a significant difference was seen in favor of the experimental group in terms of visual perception and attention levels scores. These results show that mind games can be used to improve visual perception and attention skills. The study also recommends conducting similar research for different student levels and different mind and intelligence games.
