Developing a web based prototype for numerical vehicle licence using smart cards

In this study, a web based numerical vehicle licence system was planned andimplemented using smart card technology. The system consists of anadministrator, registration department, an inspection station, an exhaustinspection station and vehicle interrogate modules together with vehicleknowledge system web page. The licence cards which include vehicleinformation and different modules for the units which transact concerningvehicle licence were prepared in the system. A central database belonging to thesystem was formed. Each module could transact according to the commandsgiven on licence card and central database. Thanks to this system, the vehicleprocessings, the vehicle knowledge updates and the vehicle interrogates areprovided rapidly and safely.
