Smart environmental systems aim at,with using innovator and sustainable methods, creating self-sufficient sustainable living spaces that sources are consumed effective and wisely,respectful to nature and environmental problems are minimized. One of the most important element of the developed countries of the world at the subject of their energy policies is improve to energy efficieny, reduce the energy density and consider the energy saving. The target in contemporary energy policies not only increase the energy used per person or electricity consumption but also can establish the structure that can generate the most energy with the minimal energy expenditure by improving the energy-efficient system. 47,12 % of the electric energy consumed in Turkey is used in industry. 67 % of this rate is consumed in electric motors. Flow generating devices such as pomps are used generally without speed adjustment. Instead of this, the flow is controlled by traditional methods with equipment such as valves. The flow variable is not controlled by motor speed, the motor runs continuosly at full speed. Because of the systems that the pumps serve rarely require maximum flow. A system without speed adjustment often wastes a significant amount of energy. Adjusting the motor speed with frequency converter varies according to the system and on the other hand it offers an energy saving possibility approximately up to 70 %. In this thesis, the analysis was carried out to ensure the energy efficiency of the pumping stations that is located in Göksu and Yahşelli, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, IZSU. For current state and for suggested energy efficiency system,a foresight has been established and results of the study have been related to the management of energy in smart grid.
