Abstract (EN)

As in many countries around the world, the need for energy in daily life and industrial production has continuously increased in our country with the beginning of the industrial revolution. From steam engines to electric motors, from robotic systems to smart cities, every new technology has been a factor that increases energy consumption. In the early years of the industrial revolution, countries tried to meet their rapidly increasing energy needs from fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. Despite the increasing energy need over time, the limited fossil fuel reserves have also revealed concerns about sustainability and led people to seek alternative solutions. Today, in addition to the increase in energy demand and costs, the rise in environmental awareness against fossil fuels has made the transformation efforts in the transportation sector even more important. Because this sector is one of the areas where fossil fuels are most widely consumed. In the coming period, it is expected that the number of electric vehicles in the transportation sector will increase even more due to problems such as environmental factors and energy supply, as well as the impact of technological developments. Considering that the number of electric vehicles will increase in parallel with the increase in the number of electric vehicles, the integration of the electrical additional load that these systems will bring to smart grids is of great importance. For this reason, smart grid, electric vehicle and charging stations should be considered as a whole. In this thesis, the current situation of electric vehicle technology from the past to the present will be examined together with smart grids and electric vehicle components are explained. In this thesis, the electrical infrastructure automation of İnönü University's smart grid system was also examined and information about the current load status was obtained. Considering the current load status, the effects that will occur on the load flow that electric vehicles will bring to the system in different scenarios with the integration of electric charging stations to the grid were emphasized. The current load status of transformers and the integration of electric charging stations to the grid were modeled in Matlab/Simulink. In addition, with the data obtained from here, renewable energy-based systems were determined and some suggestions were presented to meet the additional load that will be included in the electric grid system in the future. It is planned that all these researches carried out within the scope of this thesis will support İnönü University's Green Campus studies.
