Özet (EN)

A total of 40 patients with mild to moderately severe acne who refer to the Dermatological Department of the Medical Faculty of Dokuz Eylül University were included in this study. They were grouped randomly to receive either 3% alcohol salicylée solution + 1% clindamycin solution, or 0.1% tretinoin cream + 1% clindamycin solution. Then the effectivity and reliability of both treatment methods were compared. All patients were evaluated in terms of the age, sex, the degree of the lesions, the counts of inflammatory and noninflammatory lesions, skin sebum degree, acne quality of life index and side effects of treatment. When these groups are compared as effectiveness and side effects, there were no significant difference between these groups. While after teatment there were no significant difference, in the fourth week of the group using tretinoin, the counts of inflammatory, non-inflammatory and total lesions were less than the ones using alcohol salicylée. As a result both 3% alcohol salicylée solution and tretinoin cream were equal as effectiveness but tretinoin cream was more rapidly effective than of alcohol salicylée.
