Abstract (EN)
In this study, the amphibian and reptilian fauna of Akşehir-Eber Endoreic Basin was investigated. The specimens were collected March-September 2006, March-May 2007 and examined morphologically in terms of pholidosis, body measurements, respective ratios, coloration and pattern. Subsequently, results were compared with other similar studies. The colorful pictures of the biotops were taken and countable or measurable characters were presented in either tabulated or pictured format. A total of 5 amphibians and 24 reptiles were determined in The Akşehir- Eber Endoreic Basin. Of these species, 5 are anurans, 2 are tortoise, 9 are lizards and 13 are snakes. The specimens belong to Ophisops elegans macrodactylus, Ophisops elegans centralanatolia and the specimens which are assumed interpopulations of these subspecies are found as sympatrically in around Ortaköy and Tuzlukçu villages. Two snake species which are Platyceps najadum and Haemorrhois nummifer are recorded in the study area in addition to previous records.
