Özet (EN)
Due to the effects in human health and the benefits in obtaining information on the geology and tectonic structure of the region, determination of radon concentration studies are intensely carried out in air, water and soil gas. In this study, soil gas radon concentration values were determined at the points on or around the Akşehir fault zone in monthly period during 5 month-time using AlphaGUARD PQ2000PRO radon detector. As a result of this study, the minimum value of 5,36 kBq/m3 and the maximum value of 47,62 kBq/m3 were obtained as radon concentration in soil. The mean radon concentration values of the sampling points were calculated for the sampling period and the minimum of these values was obtained at the sampling point 8 as 10,23 kBq/m3 and the maximum at the sampling point 1 as 31,77 kBq/m3. Moreover, it was obtained that the mean radon concentration values of the most of the sampling points were inversely proportional with the straight distances of the sampling points to the Akşehir fault zone.
