Abstract (EN)

Historical buildings are indispensable cultural assets for societies, shedding light on the past of countries and societies. Akseki Buttoned Houses, which are among the rich cultural assets of our country, are among the buildings that should be preserved and transferred to future generations with their unique construction technique and architectural features. Akseki Buttoned houses are examined in this thesis. The architectural and static structure of Akseki Buttoned Houses are discussed in detail and the construction stages with dry wall technique are explained. For the analysis of the thesis, a buttoned house is chosen in Akseki. Afterwards, the architectural and physical features of this buttoned house are examined, and samples are taken from suitable places of the building. As a result of the tests applied to the samples, the values of compressive strength, density, porosity, water absorption percentage, and compactness are determined. In addition, the results of the SEM-EDS analysis are evaluated. A model is created with the SAP 2000 program to evaluate the static condition of the building with the data obtained from the experiments and analysis. It is aimed to determine the necessary data before a possible restoration work by showing the physical condition and material properties of the building with all the data obtained. As a result, the architectural examination of the Durmuş ÖZEN house is made and the damages which are arising from improper interventions are determined. Material properties are determined as a result of the experiments applied to the samples taken from the building. The building is modeled with the available data and the preliminary static analysis result concluded that the building is statically safe. The method has been determined for the restoration work to be carried out for the buttoned houses.
