Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, electroactive monomer containing acceptor side groups was synthesized and polymerized onto the surface of ITO/glass via electrochemical process. Structural characterizations of all synthesized compounds were identified by using FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The optical and electrochemical HOMO-LUMO band gap values were calculated by using UV-Vis absorbtion and cyclic voltametry (CV) measurements, respectively. In addition, electron-energy transfer mechanisms of synthesized donor-acceptor structures were determined by utilizing UV-fluorescence, UV-Vis and cyclic voltammetry measurements. Electrochromic behaviours of donor-acceptor polymers coated on to ITO/glass surface via electrochemical process were determined by the spectro-electrochemical measurements. It was possible to observe a wide color scale on the same polymer film with different potentials. As a result of kinetic study, oxidation and reduction response times and stabilities of the polymer films were determined as quite good.
