Abstract (EN)
The most used method in liquid transportation is transportation by pipeline. Pipelines are widely used to transport energy-generated fluids such as crude oil and fuel oil. The advantages of pipeline transportation are economical transportation, ease of operation and automation. Pipelines are also economically and environmentally friendly than any other modes of transport as they are buried underground reducing greenhouse gas. Due to this, pipelines have become popular in transportation of crude oil and fuel oil. Construction of the pipeline is preliminary survey, exploration and feasibility studies, route selection, map tests, transmission hydraulics, stress analysis, geotechnical analysis, joint details and production-construction-cost determination. Construction of the pipeline will lead to the increased capacity of the oil pipeline transportation. Hydraulic and Geotechnical Structure reveals interactive design and project criteria to make it more clear and workable design with an application, can be expressed as comparing the cost of transportation with pipelines that are hydraulically pressurized transmission lines with other transportation costs.
